9:30 a.m. “Using Hops in Beer” Andrew McNalley, Brew Master of The Common Bond Brewery
Andrew McNally is the Newest Brew master in Alabama’s new Craft Brewing industry. He has 12 years experience as a home brewer and recently opened Common Bond Brewers on Bibb Street in Montgomery. We are excited to hear about beer making and the use of Hops in Beer as the herb of the year. Common Bond has 4 different Craft Beer Brews to try out at their beautiful new location.

10:30 a.m. “Hopped Up Pasta” Megan Mitchell of SweetCreek Farm Market
Megan Elizabeth Mitchell of SweetCreek Farm Market on the Troy Highway is a true deep south kind of girl. She is a chef by trade, and the wife of a cattle farmer. Needless to say, she has a natural affinity for food and loves to share her passion and knowledge. At SweetCreek she plays many roles, but her primary one is to Manage all things Catering. It is in her nature to be a perfectionist and it shows in her cooking! In her spare time, she is a 4H Leader and has her own Pastry Business. Megan is huge advocate for the old but new Farm to Table Movement, and says that nutrition comes first always when it comes to her style of cooking.

12:30 p.m. “Medicinal Herbs for Stress” Antonia Viteri, Herbalist
Antonia Viteri is an Herbalist in the Western and Southern folk medicine traditions. She is a Health and Wellness Consultant living in Birmingham, AL. She is also a Master Gardener and LEED accredited Landscape Designer. She aspires to combine her skills as a designer and herbalist to teach, empower and influence others to cherish our natural world.
